  • Share Hello! I am Winston, Admissions Counselor at UNT. The Office of Admissions will host its annual Admitted Students Day (admitday.unt.edu) event on Saturday, April 23. Part of our event is a drive-thru campus tour for approximately 600 cars and our route traditionally utilizes parts of North Texas Boulevard (the length from NTX-35 to Parking Lot 20, as well as the intersections of NTX-Chestnut and NTX-Eagle). Will the entirety of North Texas Boulevard be closed for this construction project or will there be partial lane closures? Do you have any information for what the street may look like at that time? on Facebook Share Hello! I am Winston, Admissions Counselor at UNT. Winston, Thank you for your question you submitted to Discuss Denton regarding   "2020 Street Bundle II - Southwest Sector". During the time frame you are inquiring about the utilities replacement on North Texas Blvd. should be underway. During this portion of construction there will only be partial lane closures allowing for normal thru traffic travel. We will monitor the progress of the project closely and will be coordinating with our UNT point of contacts Peter Palacios and Jeffery Hilliard. I will notify them of your concern for this event and we can update you of the construction status and exact lane closures that will be in place at the time of the event. Please feel free to reach out to me directly at scott.fettig@cityofdenton.com with any additional questions or concerns. Thank you
