What is considered diversion?
Any material diverted from the landfill and reused, repurposed, or recycled.
What if my business/company has a established diversion plan in place?
If your business or company currently has a diversion plan, please submit the annual diversion plan to Solid Waste and Recycling.
What is programmatic material?
mixed paper, cardboard, cartons, plastic tubs, jugs, bottles, steel and metal cans, glass bottles, and jars.
What if my business does not have material to divert?
Please contact Solid Waste and Recycling at solidwaste@cityofdenton.com to identify material diversion opportunities.
What if my business does not have space for an additional dumpster?
Please contact Solid Waste and Recycling at solidwaste@cityofdenton.com to determine space restriction opportunities.
