Key Dates

At the Regular Meeting of the Denton City Council on May 20, 2025, Ordinance 25-754 was passed, approving fees in lieu of parkland dedication and development fees for the Evers property. This has fulfilled the developer's obligation with the City of Denton, and city staff are no longer tracking this project.  

On February 4, City staff are planning to provide an overview to City Council with a summary of the project background, site plan, property photos, public meeting summary, key points, and considerations for discussion to garner direction.

On January 17, City staff along with Denton County walked the property with the support and presence of JPI developers.

On November 21, a public meeting was held at the Civic Center to gather input from the community on the proposed project.

On November 14, City staff along with interested parties in saving the homestead walked the property with the approval and presence of the private developer.
