August Project Update

The Hickory Creek Road Phase 3 project is currently experiencing a delay in construction due to rail road coordination and the ONCOR distribution line relocation. ONCOR crews have began pole installation and are project to finish this month. City of Denton staff is also coordinating with the railroad to get all railroad requirements required to get the project back going. The current estimated completion for the project is projected for Q4 2026, but we anticipate the bridge to be open in late 2025. Please use caution and observe all work zone signs while in the Hickory Creek RD area. The project has a new City of Denton Project Manager that will be taking the project over moving forward.
