January 2025 Project Update
Happy New Year everyone! The Mingo-Ruddell-Quiet Zone team has been off and running for months. “Who is this Team,” you ask??? Kimley Horn and Associates serving as the Design Engineer and Sundt Construction serving at the projects CMAR (Construction Manager at Risk).
I’m so thankful for this Team of amazing professionals. They are not new to Denton, some members serve on other Denton projects, some are residents, and ALL have a HEART for Denton. “How do I know,” you ask – JUST LOOK AT US - There’s just a few of us in this picture after a Mingo-Ruddell Field Walkthru as we rushed to deliver almost 100 boxes of food-filled boxes for the local LovePacs to help feed Denton’s kids thru the holidays - all personal donations and packed with LOVE!
You may have already seen our Team walking up and down Mingo and Ruddell last year because. We believe in being BOOTS-ON-THE-GROUND before we even start construction. We want to see what you see every day!
You'll see us again “RUFFING IT” in the cold this Thursday morning (1/23/25) as we perform a Diagnostic Field Assessment with the Union Pacific Railroad representatives. We’ll be discussing the required improvements to the Railroad Crossings to help get Mingo designated as a Quiet Zone.
WHAT’S THE NEXT STOP? We’re working on the Upcoming MILESTONE – 30 % Design Plans in April 2025. This will not be an overnight project; there's a whole lot of coordination before we can get to construction. Please stay tuned to this page for updates!

Thank you for your contribution!
