Reconstruction of Morse Street will be between Loop 288 and Mayhill. It will remain 4-lane divided between the Loop & Kimberly and a 2-lane from Kimberly to Mayhill. We will be replacing an aging waterline at the same time.

  • Share Hello; we work in the pecan creek business center at the corner of Morse and Mayhill. Many of our customers complain about the lack of access to the building and the difficulty of getting to the building. When will access to the building be made to two directions? There is enough space to make the road dual lanes as at Mayhill it’s a two turn lane both left and right. on Facebook Share Hello; we work in the pecan creek business center at the corner of Morse and Mayhill. Thank you for reaching out. I understand your concern, unfortunately we are unable to accommodate your request for two-way traffic. The contractor is moving into the next phase of construction, in which they will begin the asphalt removal and replacement. To maintain a safe work environment for their crews and the vehicles on the road it is best to maintain the traffic flow as it is. The project completion is scheduled for the end of June.

How long will westbound Morse Street be closed?

Westbound traffic on Morse will be closed until May, weather dependant. This will allow for completion of new waterline installation and roadway reconstruction to be completed.

Once westbound lanes are complete eastbound lanes will be closed for roadway reconstruction. Anticipated project completion is June of 2025, weather dependant.
