Construction has concluded.
We are excited to announce major street improvements have been scheduled for the Oaks of Montecito.
This project includes the street reconstruction for segments of Palo Verde Dr and Glendora Ct as well as mill and overlay of segments of Buena Vista Dr, Vista Verde St, Val Verde Ct, Cordero Ct, Mira Vista Dr, Palo Verde Dr, Brisas Ct, and Montecito Dr.
- Mill & Overlays - Mill and overlay is a form of pavement rehabilitation that involves the removal and replacement of the existing surface layer of asphalt to extend a roadway’s useful life. The existing asphalt is removed using a milling machine, and the application of new asphalt provides a restored driving surface.
- Reconstruction – Reconstruction is used to restore both the driving surface as well as the base and subgrade layers beneath the surface. The process results in a new street and is typically used to treat roadways that demonstrate significant surface and subgrade failure.
Weather pending, work is scheduled to begin Spring of 2023
