Nightly Paving Construction Scheduled to Begin Tuesday, Aug. 24

Beginning Tuesday, Aug. 24 through Friday, Sept. 17, the Texas Department of Transportation (TXDOT) will begin nightly paving construction from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. along Teasley Lane/FM 2181 between Wind River Lane and Barrel Strap Road as part of their active road widening and reconstruction project. During this time, brief intermittent lane closures maybe in place to allow concrete trucks to safely cross the roadway. Delays and backups may occur so motorists are reminded to adhere to all posted construction signage and use caution when traveling in the area.

TxDOT plans to shift traffic to the newly paved lanes in October 2021 and begin the reconstruction of the old lanes at that time. The Teasley Lane/FM 2181 project is scheduled to be complete by June 2022.

For additional information or questions regarding the Teasley Lane/FM 2181 nightly paving construction activities or project, contact TxDOT Public Information Officer Emily McCann at Emily.McCann@txdot.gov.
