The City of Denton and Denton ISD are in the process of discussing a potential swap of land parcels. Under the proposed agreement Denton ISD seeks to give the City of Denton Parks Department the parcels oflandwhere the Old Calhoun Middle School Track and Field and Tennis Courts are located, in exchange forlandthat currently belongs to South Lakes Park but is the location of McMath’s track and field. This exchange would provide important parklandaccess in the center of Denton near old Calhoun Middle School and would provide Denton ISD with full control and ownership over McMath’s track and field.
