Fred Moore Park CDBG Improvements

Located at 501 S Bradshaw St, Fred Moore Park is a neighborhood park with a range of amenities for visitors and local residents to enjoy. The park features various amenities such as:

• Park Furnishings such as benches, dog waste stations, picnic tables, grills, and trash receptacles
• Playground
• Pavilions & Ampitheatre,
• Basketball Court
• Softball Field
• Multi-Purpose Field
• Home to the American Legion Hall Senior Center

In 2023, Parks and Recreation (PARD) submitted an application for a grant for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program. PARD was successfully awarded $230,000 for various improvements at Fred Moore Park which include:

• Addition of Pergola in the back patio area at the American Legion Hall Senior Center
• Replacement of the pavilion north of the basketball court.
• Addition of sidewalk north of the bridge to provide ADA accessibility and connectivity to the Softball fields.
