The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) is widening Interstate Highway 35 (I-35) with an estimated construction start in September 2024. The I-35 Utility Relocation on the Frontage Road at Fort Worth Drive Project will move public utilities in support of TxDOT I-35 widening project with the relocation of 2,000 linear feet of water lines. This project is scheduled for 120 days of construction and is estimated to be completed in 2nd quarter 2024. Since the project is a forced relocation of City of Denton utilities, there will be reimbursements from TxDOT to support this effort at 100%.

    Project is on schedule and we are now acquiring easements. Once we have all the easements we will begin the Bid/Award process.

    All aspect of planning are complete. We are only waiting on one easement to close. Once said easement is closed we will move to the bid award phase.
