Update your irrigation controller to an EPA Watersense® controller. Choose either a weather-based or soil moisture-based controller and qualify for a rebate covering 100% of the cost, up to $300.
Rebate Details
The rebate covers 100% of the controller cost, up to $300.
It is a one-time payment per water account.
The rebate is applied after the purchase of a qualifying EPA WaterSense® irrigation controller.
A post-installation inspection may be required.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must be the property owner. If the property is leased, the owner must apply.
Must be a Denton Water Utilities customer.
Water utility account must be in good standing.
Installation must meet all applicable national, local, and manufacturer standards.
Applications are subject to verification by the city.
Rebates are limited to available program funding within the fiscal year.
Application Process
Purchase an EPA WaterSense® irrigation controller.
Submit an application with a copy of your receipt within 30 days of installation.
A staff member will review your application. A post-inspection or installation photos may be required.
Once approved, up to $300 will be credited to your water account within 30-90 days.
All installations are subject to final inspection.
The city reserves the right to adjust project scope or divide projects into phases for reimbursement.
