COMMUNITY MEETING NOTICE - ROAD NAME CHANGE

As many of you have been observing - Mayhill Road is being realigned with a new bridge over the DCTA/DART railroad and it will a 4-lane divided road to match the existing Phase 1 Section to the north and the section to the south.

The New Road Alignment needs to be called Mayhill Road. That means the OLD section will need a new name. There are unlimited options what to name the old section. However, one name made a lot of sense - Edwards Road! Edwards Road currently ties into Mayhill Road (at the DCTA Railroad) and when the New Mayhill Road is open, existing Edwards Road will simply extend to the north and tie into the NEW Mayhill Road at a new signalized intersection. Below is a picture of the section of Mayhill Road that will require Renaming (see the yellow line) as it connects to the existing Edwards Road.

You are invited to a Virtual Community Meeting to discuss the name change. The virtual meeting will be held at 6:00 pm on Thursday, March 21, 2024.

You can sign up using the Virtual Community Meeting the link at the upper right (or scroll down on your cell)
