Project Status Update 2/2023

January 2023 accomplishments included City of Denton Council awarding the Construction Contract to McCarthy Building Companies, Inc. and the Public Works Inspection contract to Consor Engineering. February is starting icy and very cold but it's Valentine's Month and Denton Loves Construction! Planned February tasks include wrapping up final paperwork to execute the contracts, setting a Public Meeting date, setting a Pre-Construction Meeting date. The Team will also be working to identify a Notice-to-Proceed (NTP) date and from that date, the project is anticipated to last 600 days (20 months) pending no issues (such as weather or unforeseen conflicts). You may see some activity starting as early as February, specifically hauling dirt onto the site for the future bridge over the DCTA Rail.
