Project Status Update 4/2023

Not only was the Easter Bunny active this month but McCarthy has busy completing the initial Project Kickoff phase. The project site has been cleared, material hauling operations started, embankment for new bridge is getting higher and higher, and the Field Office has been moved in and set up. The Construction - Inspections - Project Management Teams have been coordinating endlessly on behind-the-scenes project paperwork to get the material & equipment identified and approved.

What can you expect to see during the next month? Of course, more earthwork! Say goodbye to the huge dirt Stockpile off Mayhill Road that was saved from Phase 1 for Phase 2. You'll also start seeing the excavation of the future detention facility. All of the dirt from these two sources will be needed to continue building the embankment for the new bridge. Once the existing pond is dewatered and excavated, the underground storm sewer work will start (look for that in May).
