Morse St (Loop 288 to Mayhill)

The water line replacement is nearly complete. The contractor and the water department are going to make the connections to the main this week. Next up: Milling, this is where the surface of the road is removed; and framing for the curb and gutters will take place. Then concrete additives will be mixed with the base (dirt) to add stability before they place new asphalt.

If you've driven down Morse lately you know that construction is well underway. The utility subcontractors are currently installing the new 8" water main that runs along the north side of the street. This work will continue into February. Thank you for your patience as we make these updates!

Construction will begin today December 2nd. Anticipated completion is Q2 of 2025.

We are pleased to announce that City Council approved Jagoe Public Company to be the Contractor for the updates coming to Morse St.

A community meeting will be held on Thursday, November 21st at 6pm. Register at the link on the right to attend.

We will go before Public Utilities Board with the proposal 10/14 and then before City Council on 10/22.

General contractor proposals were opened 8/21 in a public opening. Staff will review and select the best qualified contractor, and take to City Council for approval.

We are currently advertising for a contractor. Please check the link for the Current Solicitation. This window of opportunity closes on 8/21.

The project documents have been completed. We are working through the City processes to post the advertisement for a contractor. Interested vendors should register via Ionwave for bidding information.

After much anticipation, the re-design of Morse Street is nearing completion.
The construction documents shall be completed this summer and will go out to bid shortly thereafter.
