The Denton City Council is requesting community input for a comprehensive Non-Discrimination Ordinance in the City. A Non-Discrimination Ordinance (NDO) would prohibit discrimination in the City of Denton based on a set of protected classes. Some local governments have passed NDOs to add protections for those classes not expressly covered under federal or state law, which may include sexual orientation or gender identity, in addition to other classes.
