The Northwest Water Transmission Main Project is identified within the City of Denton Water Distribution Master Plan. The transmission main will serve to efficiently deliver water from the 2.0 MG Riney Road Elevated Storage Tank to the 1.0 MG Northwest Elevated Storage Tank. As community development continues towards the northwest, the water transmission main will ensure water quality standards are met and reduce the tank fill time of the Northwest Elevated Storage Tank.
The project will consist of the construction of nearly 2 miles of 36-inch water main along the designated project alignment. Along the way, the water main will connect to smaller diameter water lines of 30-inch, 24-inch, 16-inch, 12-inch and 8-inch.
