The segments include Thunderbird Drive from Colonial Drive to Crestmeadow Street, Greenway from Windsor Farms to dead end to the South, Brook Hollow Drive from Greenway to Carriage Hill, Carriage Hill from Brook Hollow to Thunderbird, Lakewood Drive from Greenway to Carriage Hill, and Augusta from Colonial Drive to 2900 Augusta Drive.

    Water and wastewater utility replacements are underway on Augusta Dr., Greenway Dr. and Colonial Dr.

    Street reconstruction and paving to follow the completion of utility installs.

    Expect street closures with detour routes in areas of construction.

    Construction has started and replacement of utilities on Augusta Dr. is currently underway.

    Expect to see construction equipment and workers in the area.

    Traffic control will be in place along with detour routes in areas of construction.

    The City of Denton will hold a Virtual Community Meeting on Thursday, Feb. 10, regarding street and utility improvements in your area as part of the 2020 Street Bundle Sector I - Northwest Capital Improvement Project (CIP). Register to attend the virtual community meeting HERE.

    The 2020 Street Bundle Sector I - Northwest CIP will include street reconstruction and upgrades to the drainage, sewer, and water systems in the area. This project is a part of a multi-phase street reconstruction project to rebuild existing streets that have reached the end of their useful life. The Northwest Sector includes the street reconstruction of Greenway Drive, Thunderbird Drive, Brookhollow Drive, Carriage Hill Road, Lakewood Drive, and Augusta Drive. The street reconstruction will include new curb and gutter, asphalt roadways as well as upgraded water and wastewater facilities.

    The City will host the virtual community meeting to provide residents and property owners the opportunity to:

    • Receive an overview of the 2020 Street Bundle Sector I Northwest CIP;and
    • Discuss input and concerns from community members.

    Staff from the City of Denton Capital Projects/Engineering Department and the City's contractor, Pavecon, will be available to discuss the project and answer questions from those participating in the virtual meeting. The meeting will be hosted online using a remote format through the video-conferencing interface Zoom.
