Motts asked 19 days agoHello,
Thank you for reaching out. It sounds like you are concerned with the entrances off of the service road to the Apartment Complex - that would be a question for TxDOT as they are over the I-35 expansion project including the service roads. They can be reached at 940.387.1414. Neither of the Bonnie Brae projects currently under construction (phases 3 and 6) are affecting Uptown Apartments off Oak Street.

finish bonnie brae asked 3 months agoOn January 27th, Bonnie Brae at Airport Road was fully closed to all traffic. The contractor is working to complete all the underground improvements as well as paving of the section of Bonnie Brae between Airport Road and Main Stadium Drive to ensure this section of roadway can be open and accept traffic from TxDOT's 35E-Merge project which is now also under construction. Weather permitting, paving activities in this section will be complete and re-open to traffic in mid June 2025.
Paving activities for the remainder of south Bonnie Brae including the new alignment will occur in phases and are expected to begin Q3 2025.
Currently, Phase 3 is anticipated to be fully complete in November 2026.

Share Is there any way to know when the construction will be finished enough for the buses to stop by our apartment again? My roommates and I live at Uptown apartments and we have no way of really knowing when the bus will come back to our stop or not so this is my last resort to try to find out. I assume the reason it hasn’t been able to get us yet is due to the lanes being closed, but I was wondering if this will be an issue for the entire school year? Or will we actually be able to take the bus sooner than later? Thanks. on Facebook Share Is there any way to know when the construction will be finished enough for the buses to stop by our apartment again? B C asked 7 months agoGood Morning. I have reached out to DCTA who provided the below information:
The stop closures mentioned are due to the construction and closures on Oak and Hickory as part of the DME substation project. The eastbound stops on Oak between I35 and Bonnie Brae have been re-opened as of Friday with the new traffic control phasing, but the westbound Oak stops remain closed until further notice. DCTA updates routes information as we are made aware of it, but we are not aware of the specific end date for the construction in this area at this time. These closures specifically impact the North Texas (NT 121), Evening Off Campus (EOC196), and Connect 7 routes.
DCTA now provides updated detour maps on our Service Updates webpage as new information comes in and issues rider alerts when buses are delayed. Students may be directed to the Customer Service number (940-243-0077) for assistance.

Henry_Burvee asked 9 months agoGood Morning Sir,
Yes, from Airport Road to Parvin, 10-foot side paths will be installed on each side of the street. From Parvin to Roselawn, a 10-foot sidepath on the southbound side and a 5- foot sidewalk on the northbound side of the street will be installed.
Thank you for your inquiry.

Eswaybar asked over 1 year agoGood morning, The section of Bonnie Brae near Vintage in question is actually a Water Utilities project and not part of the roadway Improvements. The Weekly Street Closure Report shows the project to be closed from August 7 to August 18.
The contact for the project is Jamie Bond. You can reach him directly at jamie.bond@cityofdenton.com

When is the expected completion of the construction on Bonnie brae?
Charlottemcd20 asked about 3 years agoHello and thank you for reaching out to us over Discuss Denton. Because Bonnie Brae is such a large project, it has been broken up into multiple phases, each with their own construction timeline.
North South Water Phase 3 has completed the installation of the 42-inch Water Transmission Main from I-35E service road to near Panhandle and are now working on roadway mill and overlay. Weather permitting, paving is expected to be complete by the end of May.
Bonnie Brae Phase 6 from US 380/University to US 77/Elm Street is tentatively scheduled to begin in October of this year and complete in December of 2024.
Bonnie Brae phase 3 from FM 1515 to Roselawn, tying into the new alignment (Bonnie Brae Phase 1) is expected to begin construction this winter and anticipated to be complete within 18 months.
These schedules are tentative as we may experience timeline impacts due to weather, material availability, and other unforeseen circumstances. Please feel free to reach out to our program manager Kyle.Pedigo@cityofdenton.com with any additional questions related to the project.
