The intended results of the Southeast Denton Street Reconstruction Project will provide residents with a reconstructed street, improved utility services, among other improvements identified by residents dependent on funding and constructability.

Based on the number of street segments included in the SED project, the project is divided into two packages. Package A includes 22 roadway segments, and Package B includes 51 roadway segments. The City of Denton 2019 Bond Program, approved by voters in November 2019, provides funding for the design and reconstruction of aging street infrastructure throughout the City. A significant portion of the streets included in this program are located in or around neighborhoods in Southeast Denton. Before the street segments are designed and scheduled for construction, City staff would like to receive community input on key priorities and potential additional improvements to be considered in addition to roadway reconstruction.

A Community Improvement Assessment Survey is now open for community members to share their key infrastructure priorities for consideration. All survey responses will be carefully considered. A completed survey does not guarantee that all potential improvements will be implemented. Infrastructure improvements, in addition to the street reconstruction as outlined in the 2019 Bond Program, will be dependent on funding, constructability, among other considerations.
