On March 10, 2025, the City of Denton issued a full Notice to Proceed to Tiseo Paving Company to be able to fully mobilize into the project limits. Tiseo will begin by concentrating on Riney Road from Bonnie Brae to Hardaway Road.

City Staff issued a Partial Notice to Proceed (NTP) to Tiseo Paving Company on February 10, 2025. The Partial NTP allows the Contractor to order material needed for the project which may have large lead time to get from factory to project site. The Partial NTP also allows for the Contractor to complete some work tasks agreed to between the City and the Contractor.

On December 17, 2024, the City Council award a contract to Tiseo Paving Company for the construction of the Bonnie Brae Phase 6 Improvement Project.

City Council has voted this project to be reclassified to a Mill/Overlay project and for the funds to be disruptive to other Capital Projects.

The City of Denton Internal Engineering team has completed the 30% design phase of the project. This design is currently under review by both internal and external stakeholders.

The project design is currently in progress, with the 30% design phase scheduled for internal review by the end of this month.

The Texas Department of Transportation is currently reviewing the bid opening documentation submitted by the lowest apparent bidder.

Internal design work is ongoing, with the road alignment already determined. The road and utility design processes are actively moving forward, focusing on integrating all necessary elements into the other plan sets.

The Bid Opening Meeting was held on August 28, 2024. The Bid Results are being analyzed by the City and TxDoT for the project to move forward.
