This project consists of a full-depth road reconstruction of the following street segments:

  • Robinwood Ln
  • Clover Ln
  • Live Oak St
  • Shadywood St
  • Mistywood Ln

This includes subgrade stabilization, asphalt paving, concrete curb and gutter, and (Driveway replacement if necessary). The project will adhere to a holistic approach aimed at replacing the roadway from the Internal and Franchise Utility upgrades.

    After material exchange and approval, work has begun for the Robinwood Reconstruction project. Contractor is in the process of Mixing the cement stabilizer into the subgrade for Robinwood. Afterward yielding passing density reports the first lift of asphalt will be laid before Curb, Gutter, and Drive approaches work will begin.

    The groundwork for the project has been temporarily paused as a result of a change order related to materials, necessitated by unforeseen site conditions.

    Despite the pause in major groundwork activities, the contractor remains committed to ensuring the project site is safe and accessible. They will conduct on-site visits to perform necessary repairs and maintenance, ensuring that the surface remains traversable for both workers and any necessary equipment.

    The City of Denton contractor is currently on site and actively engaged in the installation of curb and gutter systems, as well as drive approaches throughout the project area. In tandem with these efforts, milling and subgrade stabilization operations are progressing throughout Phase 2 of the project. Additionally, the project team is also focused on the removal and replacement of stormwater inlets.

    Texasbit is scheduled to remobilize on January 6 to commence demolition work for the first phase and to prepare for the upcoming dirt work. Additionally, their subcontractors will begin work on the drainage section of phase 3 at the same time.
