2019 Bond Neighborhood 2 & 6
The 2019 Bond Neighborhoods 2 & 6 project is a part of a multi-phase street reconstruction project to rebuild existing streets that have reached the end of their useful life. Maps are provided to left (or bottom) for all streets that will be part of the Neighborhood 2 & 6 project as well as the breakdown of the phases (Packages 1, 2 & 3). Street reconstruction will include new curb and gutter, asphalt/concrete roadways and upgrading select water and/or wastewater facilities. There will be some areas of sidewalk and street lighting replacement and areas of new lighting & sidewalk.
Project Timeline Q4 2022 - Q4 2026*

Project phase timelines include the year range of a project life cycle including at least four phases of construction: planning, design, advertise, bid and award, and construction. Maple Street:
Completed - Lime was mixed last week and left to mellow over the weekend.
What's Next - Lime will be remixed 4/22/24 followed by compaction and fine grading this week. Asphalt is currently scheduled for April 30th.
Broadway Street:
Completed - Made great progress on concrete driveway placements last week!
What's Next - This week Sundt will be forming and placing the remaining concrete driveways and the inlet throat adjacent to Malone. Asphalt currently scheduled for May 2nd.
Hillcrest St:
Completed - 8" main installation was completed last week and substantial progress was made on the laterals.What's Next - Complete laterals this week. The camera crew is schedule for Thursday. Plan to mill Hillcrest Friday 26th and Monday the 27th.
Crescent St (Ector St to Hillcrest St):
Completed - Removals completed last week followed rough grade starting.What's Next - Rough grading continuing and Lime is currently scheduled for Thursday 25th.
Thomas/Crescent/Linden:
What's Next - Notice to Residents will be going out Wednesday & Traffic Control will be placed Friday. Sewer Installation will begin next week.

Maple Street:
Completed - Transitioned traffic control to close the south side of Maple St. followed by pedestrian control measures including snow fence and chain link fence panels. Milling of the existing asphalt was completed with temporary pedestrian crosswalks installed afterwards. Concrete removals will be complete 4/5/24 .
Next week - Rough grading, with lime currently scheduled for Wednesday 4/10/24 with mixing and mellowing through the weekend.
Broadway Street:
Completed - Curb and gutter formwork this week and will be pouring the first round of concrete 4/5/24.
Next week - Concrete placements everyday to complete all curb and gutter and begin driveways followed by curb ramps and leadwalks.
Hillcrest St:
ONGOING - continued this week installing hundreds of feet of 8" sewer mains and a new manhole at Linden.Next week - Complete the main line and manhole at Panhandle. Service laterals will follow, starting at Crescent and working southward.

MAPLE St.
- Completed - Northside curb and gutter installation. Remaining concrete activities on this north side are several ramps and small amount of sidewalk.
- Next week - Second lift of asphalt is scheduled for Tuesday 3/26 and Wednesday 3/27. Traffic Control Plan activities will follow second lift of asphalt which will require switching work to the south side for upcoming removal activities.
BROADWAY St.
- Completed - Earthwork activities have been completed this week and the lime-stabilized subgrade is now ready for the first lift of asphalt.
- Next week - First Lift of Asphalt scheduled for Monday 3/25. Following the asphalt installation concrete crew will begin curb and gutter, driveways, and a couple curb ramps.
CRESCENT / HILLCREST
- Completed - Installation of the sewer manholes (2) and piping on Cresent between Ector and Hillcrest.
- Next week - Trench work and pipe installation to begin at the intersection of Hillcrest/Crescent and move south.
