
HAPPY 4th of July Denton!
Construction crews have been working HARD in this HEAT. They will be observing the 4th of July and returning back to work Monday July 8. That's right, everyone gets a Construction-Free Long Weekend!

Maple Street:
Sod installation began earlier this week and will conclude tomorrow. Traffic control measures were removed yesterday.
We will be cleaning the roadway Monday (7/1) with a sweeper and water truck.
Tuesday striping and sign installations are scheduled (no road closures required).
Punch activities will continue through the week.
Broadway
We continue watering for the sod that was installed.
We have completed our internal punch work.
Crescent (East - Ector to Hillcrest):
We continue watering for the sod that was installed.
We are finalizing our internal punch work.
Hillcrest:
This past week we placed concrete for the curbs/gutters from Panhandle to Crescent, along with some driveways.
We will continue over the two weeks to complete remaining concrete scope.
Thomas (South- Panhandle to Crescent):
Subgrade preparation for lime mixing has been complete, with lime mixing scheduled for 7/8.
Crescent (West- Thomas to Stanley):
Density testing at the sewer main trench backfill was tested this week with passing results.
Subgrade has been cut in preparation for lime mixing, scheduled for 7/3.
Linden (Thomas to Bonnie Brae):
Miscellaneous concrete removals have been completed, and subgrade was cut in preparation for lime mixing, scheduled for 7/3.
Thomas (North - Emery to Crescent):
John Burns completed the sewer main, laterals, manholes and backfill on Thomas week. Sundt completed asphalt removals and have begun the miscellaneous concrete removals.
We will also be addressing the existing water main trench work on this section of road next week as well.
Concrete removals will complete next week followed by subgrade preparation for lime mixing, scheduled for 7/8.
Central:
We completed the removal of an abandoned steel water main as it conflicted with mixing depths, plugging each end with concrete.
Welch (Eagle to Highland):
John Burns has been installing the 12" and 8" water main from Eagle to Highland.
With the main completed, they are falling back to Eagle and will be moving back towards Highland installing fire hydrants, etc.
Ave. D & Chestnut
John Burns completed the installation of the sewer main and manholes on Ave D. They have begun installing the new water main starting at Chestnut and working north to Sycamore.
They will continue installing towards Mulberry next week.
On Chestnut the sewer main and manholes were completed and backfilled minus the manhole at Ave C, which will be stripped and backfilled within the next working day.
The water main from the Ave D intersection has begun installation, working uphill towards Ave C, continuing this effort next week.
